Nevada Cancer Institute (NVCI) is the official cancer institute for the State of Nevada. A nonprofit organization, NVCI is committed to reducing the burden of cancer by pursuing the development of a comprehensive cancer center, as defined by the National Cancer Institute. Medical Technologist Las Vegas, NV
Position Description: Seeking a Medical Technologist with subspecialty certification to oversee a clinical Flow Cytometry Laboratory and possibly other high-complexity clinical labs. Eligibility for Nevada state licensure as a lab supervisor is required. Experience with CAP accreditation and CLIA licensure requirements is a plus. The ideal candidate is a driven individual who values excellence in patient-centered care, in accordance with NVCI's behavioral standards, mission, vision and values of Discovery, Excellence, Collaboration, Compassion, Integrity and Stewardship.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in medical technology, molecular biology or biochemistry. Must have at least two years of experience in a clinical flow cytometry laboratory. Experience in a molecular diagnostics (PCR-based and/or FISH) laboratory is a plus.
